Divided into 6 parts, this Book begins with a historical perspective of the region as an important cradle of civilization connecting the eastern Mediterranean Sea to the Black Sea, followed by an account of the natural resources, natural hazards, and economic activities in the region, such as the potential of marine renewable energy, capture fisheries, and aquaculture. The subsequent parts of the book explore the balance between tourism, sustainable development, and ecology in the Aegean Sea. (Estratto dal sito dell'editore)
